LAN stands for Local Area Network. A LAN party is an event where people bring their computers or consoles, connect them together in a network, and play video games with one another. It's a social event that combines the thrill of gaming and the joy of hanging out with fellow gaming enthusiasts.
What is Capital LAN?
Capital LAN is a four-day LAN party that features tournaments, events, free play, prize drawings, and giveaways. BYOC Attendees bring their own computer or console equipment and play games in a social, fun environment. General Admission allows access to all our other activities and Table Top gaming.
When and where is Capital LAN 2025?
Capital LAN 2025 is scheduled for July 24th - 27th, 2025 at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy - Troy, NY. Doors open at 5 PM on Thursday and Close at 5 PM on Sunday.

What do I need to bring to Capital LAN?
Attendees with access to the BYOC are required to bring their own computer or console equipment. You'll have a 48" table space and three power outlets for your equipment. You can also bring your own chair for comfort. A CAT6 network cable will be pre-installed at your table for internet connectivity. For a helpful checklist of items don't forget; - Computer (Tower, Laptop, Steam Deck, Console) - 1-2 Monitors - Power Cables - Video Cables - Mouse - Keyboard - Headset - Mousepad - Wireless Device Chargers - Hoodie (While it is warm outside, to combat PC heat the AC may be chilly. You do not need to bring; - Surge Protector (Preinstalled, load balanced, and monitored) - Network Cable (Preinstalled, tested, CAT6) - Chair (Every seat comes with a Herman Miller Mirra Chair, but you can still bring your own preference)
